POETRY FOR HEALTH FELLOWSHIP

Cultivating a Practice in Arts for Health

ABOUT THE POETRY FOR HEALTH FELLOWSHIP

The Poetry for Health Fellowship is a full-time programme of up to 10 months, providing a poet with a platform to develop a practice in arts for health, specialised in the genre of poetry, and situated in Singapore.

In partnership with Nanyang Technological University (NTU)’s Centre for Health, Culture and Society, the fellow will undergo a programme of training in relevant areas of the medical humanities and literary arts, including the facilitation of literary workshops, curriculum design, and working with communities with specific needs. This training will support the fellow in developing and conducting a series of workshops for a community partner. The fellow will work closely with Sing Lit Station (SLS) to identify and collaborate with partner organisations, and work with NTU researchers to assess the workshops’ contribution to positive health outcomes.

The fellow will be provided with a stipend of $3,600 SGD per month, support from SLS and NTU, and access to SLS’ resources (shared space, surge manpower, mentorship, office supplies, program budget) to conduct the workshops and develop their practice.

Sing Lit Station invites applications for the 2026 Poetry for Health fellowship. Interested applicants may access the detailed application guide here.

Application Deadline: 1 June 2026, 11:59 pm
