In September we will be looking at Writing History and Historical Fiction with Lim Cheng Tju.
Lim Cheng Tju is one of the authors of The University Socialist Club and the Contest for Malaya: Tangled Strands of Modernity (Amsterdam University Press / NUS Press, 2012), a 'serious' history book about the English-educated student movement in Singapore in the 1950s and 1960s, and the writer of the Guidebook to Nanyang Diplomacy (COSH Studios, 2017), a historical comic book about the Sepoy Mutiny in Singapore in 1915, during WWI. But he does not draw distinctions between the two. He also edits, curates and researches comics history.
We will also review participants' stories, enjoy writing exercises and answer queries on writing issues. To learn more about the workshop, please click on the event link provided below.
