Join Singapore Literature Prize 2018 winner Melissa De Silva as she speaks about why she wrote 'Others’ is Not a Race. Melissa will read excerpts, together with Nicole Batchelor and Gwenne Pinto, whose personal stories are also in the book.

Readings will be followed by a panel discussion on issues including: How is being a Singaporean-Eurasian different from being Malay-, Indian- or Chinese-Singaporean? How has the CMIO classification created false barriers between Eurasians and other Singaporeans? Are our commonalities as Singaporeans greater than our ethnic differences?

The featured speakers are Melissa De Silva, Nicole Batchelor, Gwenne Pinto and Andre D’Rosario. Moderated by Emilie Oehlers.
