This workshop will imagine the poem as a dream-space: a theatre or surgery room or closet that we build from the debris of the world and of ourselves, a transformative space which breaks and builds us in return.
We will consider how to construct our dream-poem, how to invite an audience into it, how to go through it with them, and how we are changed as we step off the page and stage.
This workshop is meant for writers of all experience and skill-levels and will include model texts, low-stakes discussion, and accessible writing prompts so participants might walk away with new material, or new ideas about how art can work for us.
