WORKSHOP: Writing The City (July 2017)

  • The Arts House 1 Old Parliament Lane Singapore, 179429 Singapore

Writing the City is a literary arts platform in Singapore which supports a community of new, emerging and established prose writers to develop their writing, share their work, and give and receive feedback. Its facilitator is the author of We Rose Up Slowly (Math Paper Press, 2015), Jon Gresham.

In July we will be looking at Beginnings & Endings. We will be reviewing participants' stories, enjoying writing exercises and discussing how to make the beginning and ending of a story shine.

Questions asked include: How does one grab the reader's attention? How does one know where to begin your story? How does one know when you've reached the end of your story? How does one finish what you've started?

If you would like to come along then register on Eventbrite and Jon Gresham will send you workshop details, writing exercises and reading materials.
