How do stories travel across languages and cultures? Translators Shanna Tan and Daryl Lim Wei Jie explore how translation connects readers to new worlds, preserves meaning and voice, and navigates ​gulfs of meaning. This panel highlights the joys and travails of translation, showing how it enriches experiences, bridges cultures, and transforms stories into something both familiar and refreshingly new.

Admission Notice

  1. There will be no admission for infants in arms and children below 6 years old

  2. Each ticket admits one person only (Individuals aged 6 years and above purchase a ticket for admission)

  3. Doors will open 30 minutes before the event. Please be seated at least 10 minutes before the programme begins.

  4. Attendees who do not check in before the start of the event will be considered absent, and their seats may be released to members of the public waiting at the venue.
