LISTENING PARTY: "Migrant Labour/Migrant Leisure", Sumugan Sivanesan & Wahid Al Mamun

  • Sing Lit Station 22 Dickson Road, #02-01 Singapore 209506 Singapore (map)

How do we listen to the sounds of place and memory?

"Migrant Labour / Migrant Leisure" samples the sonic textures of spaces where migrant workers gather, rest and labour. This evening invites close listening and quiet encounter in an intimate space where language, history, and memory echo.

Artist-researcher Sumugan Sivanesan and poet Wahid Al Mamun (๐™’๐™๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™‚๐™ค๐™™ ๐™๐™ค๐™ค๐™  ๐™”๐™ค๐™ช๐™ง ๐™‡๐™š๐™œ๐™จ ๐˜ผ๐™ฌ๐™–๐™ฎ) will be in conversation, tracing resonances between their work, across the sonic and structural, the personal and political.
