After an incredible 2019, with a whole range of incredible poets from Singapore and all over the world and a spot on TV, Spoke & Bird is super excited to welcome the new year with one of the most exciting poets to come out of the Singapore poetry slam scene in recent years: Kevin Kwong.
Kevin is a full time student, though he likes to live as if it were part time. He has won awards in fields ranging from poetry to theatre to ballroom dance. In his free time, he has written and acted in two musicals for charity, Now You Simi 2 in 2017 and HAVEN in 2019. He is currently working on his third (and fourth and fifth!)
The poetry open mic will run as usual with twelve 5-minute slots available. Each open mic-er will be given 5 minutes to perform any number of poems. Sign up for a spot via the event page provided below!
