  • Huggs-Epigram Coffee Bookshop 45 Maxwell Road Singapore, 069118 Singapore (map)

Alfian Sa'at will be at Huggs-Epigram Coffee Bookshop to sign your books, and talk about his Collected Plays series. From Collected Plays One, published over 9 years ago, to the newest Collected Plays Three just recently launched, what has changed in the intermediate decade, and what has stubbornly remained the same? Come down to the bookshop for coffee and conversations about how the identities we give ourselves, or are given to us, shape our interactions with the nation we live in.

”Landmarks” from Collected Plays Two won the Best Script at the Life! Theatre Awards in 2005, followed by Collected Plays Three’s “Nadirah” in 2010 and “Kakak Kau Punya Laki” (Your Sister’s Husband) in 2013.

Alfian Sa’at is a Resident Playwright with W!LD RICE. His published works include three collections of poetry, One Fierce Hour, A History of Amnesia and The Invisible Manuscript, a collection of short stories, Corridor, a collection of flash fiction, Malay Sketches, and two collections of plays – Collected Plays One and Collected Plays Two, and the published play Cooling-Off Day.
