From Hemmingway to Callaghan, Oates to Nabokov: boxing has been a crucial part of the lives of many writers. In this final session of Deep Cut, let poet and martial arts aficionado Loh Guan Liang take you through the overlap between the two art forms, how it has and continues to influence each other, whether for him or other writers.

About Deep Cut: inspired by the term deep cut—used in the music industry to refer to the b-sides or songs of an artist that are not well known or conventionally played—this year-long series explores both unconventional intersections in literature and the little-known sides to authors.

Ethos Books’ venue partner, Littered with Books, is an independent bookseller in Duxton housing a range of carefully curated literary books!
