Note for Note is a tête-à-tête between poet and musician. Collaborating both in form and content, these artists will take to the stage to perform original works. Much like successful fusion cuisine, there is a natural harmony between the rhythms of poetry and music. Musicians bring their own eclectic genres to the poets' table, resulting in a tasting palette that is rich with intertwined layers of meaning.
As part of Lumination — The Arts House's season of programmes for National Day, this edition will see each pairing explore the theme of #invisibleink. What happens with words that disappear into the margins of history or culture? Or with words which people don’t want to read or listen to?
Join Amanda Chong and Linying, Cyril Wong and Chong Li-Chuan, as well as Marylyn Tan and Marla Bendini who will reveal some of the mystery behind their hidden words.
Produced by Marc Nair, Note for Note is presented as part of Poetry with Music series.
