WORKSHOP: Graphic Medicine

  • Sing Lit Station 3A Jalan Kubor Singapore, 199201 Singapore (map)

Would you like to explore ideas on health, sickness, illness and wellbeing through graphic novels? Have you ever wanted to learn how to draw?

Our new series of workshops, organised with NTU, are designed to help you find out more about graphic medicine and the medical humanities. Together we will explore experiences with health and sickness by learning how to draw and express ideas on illness and wellbeing through comics and graphic novels.

These workshops will help you:

  • Design and write your own stories on health and sickness using graphic novel techniques

  • Learn how to draw from professional Singaporean comic artists, James Tan and Don Low

  • Learn how graphic novels work to communicate feelings and ideas about health & sickness

  • Have a conversation with a medical humanities expert from one of Singapore's finest universities

Join us at one, or more, of our workshops at 2 to 4 pm on the following Saturdays:

  • 25 August 2018

  • 22 September 2018

  • 27 October 2018
