The Singapore Writers Festival and the Esplanade are proud to present a recurring music/poetry event titled The Lyrical Muse.
Music and literature share a symbiotic relationship since time immemorial. Kickstart your February with conversations between writers and musicians as they delve into the intricate interplay between words and music. How does music inspire one’s writing, and how do lyrics and one’s reading diet relate to a musician’s craft?
In this special SWF POP programme co-presented with Esplanade's ForeWord series, two unlikely writer-musician pairings (Boey Kim Cheng and Kelvin Tan; Tania De Rozario and Linying) exchange views and meditate on the ways that literature and music have influenced their works.
Boey Kim Cheng and Kelvin Tan will be performing on 1 Feb; Tania de Rosario and Linyang will be performing on 2 Feb. The event is free. Deborah Emmanuel will be hosting the 2 Feb session.
