Ng Yi-Sheng is a poet, fictionist, playwright, journalist and activist. He is the winner of the Singapore Literature Prize, which he received for his debut poetry collection, last boy (2006). He recently completed his MA from the University of East Anglia’s creative writing programme. Lion City is his first fiction collection.
Suffian Hakim is a writer of fantastical, whimsical, wacky books. His first was a parody, Harris bin Potter and the Stoned Philosopher, whose initial chapter was published online in 2013 before going viral. The Straits Times calls Suffian “undoubtedly one of the most whimsical, creative and unpretentious young voices in Singapore literature”. He will be promoting his latest novel, The Minorities.
