a literary roundtable.

Join award-winning Singaporean and Australian writers for readings and a roundtable discussion with Sing Lit Station's Jon Gresham on "Singapore and Australia: connections, country and belonging" at Sing Lit Station on 22 June 2017.

Balli Kaur Jaswal is the author of Inheritance, which won the Sydney Morning Herald Young Australian Novelist Award in 2014. Her third novel Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows was released internationally in March 2017.

Eileen Chong is an Australian poet who was born in Singapore. Her poetry collection Painting Red Orchids was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards in 2017.

Yong Shu Hoong is a Singaporean poet. His poetry collections Frottage and The Viewing Party won the Singapore Literature Prize for poetry in 2006 and 2014.

David Wong is a Singaporean poet, who studied honours in Philosophy at the University of Melbourne, reading poetry at Rutgers University New Brunswick along the way. His debut collection of poetry, For The End Comes Reaching, was published by Math Paper Press in 2015.

Will Beale is an Australian spoken word poet, “a boy howling his way into the world, despite all its muzzles” and the author/composer of They Call Us Loud (2015/16). His forthcoming album, Homecoming, combines poetry and house music to tell a story of journey and returning.
