Do you have a fairy tale or horror story to tell? Everyone has a 'once-upon-a-time'. That's the challenge this month, presented by Word Forword.
Tell us your story starting with or including in one or more poems the phrase 'Once-upon-a-time' and add an element of 'true lies' to your performed poems. You need three to enter the slam, or just one for the Open Mic. Don't worry if you don't think you have a Once-upon-a-time to tell, tell it anyway!
The Slam winner gets $75, Best Written Poem receives $25. Each poem has a 3-minute time limit. One audience member will win a book prize.
Do note that all reading slots are held until 7.45pm, then it's up for grabs. Please let the organisers know 24 hours in advance if you can't slam. Don't be a slam slot hog!
