The third edition of Spoke & Bird is proud to present a night of poetry and epic music. Eight open mic slots will also be available for any interested poets and performers.
Described as a surreal mixture of AC/DC, Edith Piaf and Bob Marley, and more, Michael Fourcade and ZePrincess are David Dutech and Alexandra Gallardo, a talented French duo who combine songs in various language, acappella, samples, electronic effects, toy instruments, looping, lyrical songs and beatbox to create a deliciously crazy music theatrical electrocapella experience for all.
The MadHatter Project is an outfit from Singapore that writes, plays and interprets music in an idiosyncratically cynical, yet optimistic, way. Particularly adept at incorporating other artistic elements into their performances, they are winners of the 2015 Noise Singapore Award, and it was under this banner that they staged their first full-length production “For The Time Being” in 2017. They also won the 2014 CineIndieFest, where they were placed under the mentorship of Nathan Hartono (a fact they bring up for no other reason but to casually borrow some of the stardust of Nathan’s newly-acquired mega-stardom).
