The 29th edition of Speakeasy will take place on 19 Oct at Artistry, organised by the tireless Pooja Nansi. 

Do you remember the first time you had to share something you wrote , possibly something very personal with other people? Remember that awful anxiety, that deep need for affirmation? Now imagine sharing it with a crowd of strangers. Come listen to some of the bravest voices in Singapore relive their younger selves.

This Speakeasy, Cyril Wong, Alfian Sa’at and Tania De Rozario read their juvenilia. It might be awkward to watch, funny – cringeworthy, even – but it will be honest and above all moving. This evening is a reminder of how we all start somewhere.
