Foreword 2022: Jendela Pantunism

Join Pantunism for a night of unorthodox poetry recitation based on journal entries of their daily experiences.

In collaboration with Malay Language Council, Singapore.

Shahril Samri is a preschool teacher in Singapore and also the founder of Pantunism. Shahril has been involved in various pantun events in Singapore and the archipelago since 2013. This includes conducting pantun workshops in schools and helping other organizations to organize pantun-related events. He has also managed to build a friendly bond with poets and writers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand as well as France.

Fadhli Rusydi Fadzil is a Malay language and literature enthusiast. With his interest in Malay literature, Fadhli seeks to convey the feelings and experiences of the younger generation on social issues. Among the themes of his inclination include the Malay identity and mental health. Fadhli hopes that his writing can touch the hearts of his readers in overcoming the obstacles of life.
