Many people reach a stage in life where they feel compelled to share a significant personal experience, but are unsure how to shape their thoughts into something others will want to read. This four-session workshop, facilitated by writer, editor and storyteller Verena Tay, takes participants from initial brainstorm to a completed first draft.
Through guided writing exercises and structured group critiques, participants will learn to craft theme, flow, character, scenes and dialogue into a short memoir of up to 3,000 words.
