Writing An(other): A Character-Building Masterclass

🪞People often say opposites attract and that is true even for fiction writers. How do we depict a character so different from ourselves in a believable manner?

In this generative writing masterclass by Singapore Literature Prize 2024 winner Prasanthi Ram, you will discover, through a set of guided exercises, how to embody the physical and psychological aspects of an imagined character.

📍Before signing up, please have an original fictional character in mind that is unlike yourself to write about. It can be for any mode of fiction you are working on (novel, novella, short story) and does not have to be your protagonist. There may be in-class exercises that require movement. If you are a person with disabilities, please do indicate your needs when you sign up.
