Having a Point of View: a masterclass

The chief aim of this fiction masterclass is to help participants develop structure and plot by having and inculcating a point of view.

How does what a character see influence how a story is told? Using this question as a starting point we will explore structure and plot in fiction. Ultimately we will uncover how points of view can give us the keys to history, context and motivation – all crucial elements in building passionate, relatable and believable work.

Led by the award-winning Nii Ayikwei Parkes, this 3-hour masterclass will lead to an in-depth opportunity to question and explore the various elements that will guide and strengthen one’s storytelling practice.

Price: $45 per guest
Date: 7 July 2018 (Saturday)
Time: 4.30pm–7.30pm
Venue: Sing Lit Station (3A Jalan Kubor, Singapore 199201)
